The Gospel Need in Turkey

Turkey, a nation with deep biblical heritage, remains largely unreached today. Despite its early significance in Christianity, the Christian community faces immense challenges, and local churches often lack the resources and training needed to flourish. There is an urgent need for a robust Christian presence that equips and supports local pastors. Miletus House aims to meet this need by establishing a permanent facility to nurture and develop pastors and church leaders throughout the region.

Currently, Christians make up less than 0.01% of Turkey’s population, with Islam being the dominant religion. There are approximately 1,000 mosques for every Christian church in the country, highlighting the vast disparity between the two communities.

Our Journey

The vision for Miletus House was born out of a deep desire to create a permanent ministry home for Reach Turkey Missions, the Pastors Academy, and other Christian ministries in Turkey. For years, we operated from temporary offices and rented hotel spaces, which made it difficult to build lasting community, host leaders well, and support long-term ministry growth.

By God’s grace, a generous grant in 2022 enabled us to rent a suitable building and transform it into a vibrant hub for ministry where pastors could be trained, equipped, and encouraged. When that building was later sold, we faced the urgent need for a new home. Through the generous support of many partners, Reach Turkey Missions has now purchased Miletus House. Praise the Lord! Although the building is smaller than we originally hoped, it will serve as a lasting ministry hub in Antalya for years to come.

The Pastors Academy

The Academy is a vital ministry of Reach Turkey Missions, equipping church leaders with biblical knowledge and practical skills to shepherd their congregations faithfully. We’ve had the privilege of training pastors not only from Turkey but also from various Turkic countries, including Bulgaria, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Northern Cyprus.

Through the Academy, these leaders grow spiritually and become part of a supportive gospel-centered community committed to strengthening the church and advancing the Gospel across this diverse region.

The name “Miletus House” draws inspiration from the ancient city of Miletus, a place of significance in early Christianity where the Apostle Paul gathered with church elders to teach, encourage, and strengthen them (Acts 20:17-38). In this spirit, Miletus House will be a center dedicated to equipping, encouraging, and empowering pastors, leaders, and believers to carry the Gospel forward. By supporting the Miletus House project, you are investing in a transformative space that will extend the reach of the Gospel for generations, fostering growth, community, and spiritual renewal.

The Need Today

By God’s grace, and through the generous support of many partners, Reach Turkey Missions has purchased Miletus House. Praise the Lord! What began as an urgent need for a permanent ministry home in Antalya has now become a reality.

Because we were not able to raise the full amount originally needed, we purchased a smaller building than we had hoped. Even so, we are deeply thankful. Miletus House is now ours, and it will serve as the ministry home for Reach Turkey Missions in Antalya.

Now we are raising the additional funds needed to prepare the building for long-term ministry use. These final improvements will allow Reach Turkey Missions to serve effectively from Miletus House as we train pastors, strengthen churches, support church planting, publish gospel-centered resources, host leaders, and serve the wider Christian community.

The next phase includes:

Creating and separating guest rooms
Adding larger office space for ministry teams
Installing additional bathrooms
Purchasing essential furniture and kitchen items
Equipping the building with IT systems, servers, and media tools
Preparing studio space for online ministry and content production
Making the building practical, welcoming, and ready for daily ministry use

Miletus House will be the ministry hub of Reach Turkey Missions in Antalya, bringing together Via Christus Academy, publishing, online ministry, theological resources, hospitality, and church partnerships under one roof.
